Content…Content…Content…

February 25th, 2009

Wow, nicely done everyone!  StudyBlue’s Rewards Trial Program is going better than any of us could have expected.  Over the past 6 weeks, we’ve more than tripled the content on StudyBlue.

Do you know what parthenogenesis means? I didn’t either, but thanks to our users, I was able to find several discussions on the topic in our Notes section.  I’ve also started to learn German. Danke vielmals everyone for making some awesome German flashcard decks.

So… given all the excitement and willingness from everyone to help out, we’re working to enhance the program and expand it to include more colleges across the US.

Student’s across our 26 Rewards Trial Schools have been excited about helping each other study smarter, not harder.  Flashcards have been especially popular, as more and more of you reinvent creative new ways to review your notes — everything from Chemistry to Spanish.  Don’t forget all of the real-time lecture notes being posted every day.

We’ve received a lot of feedback, and trust me, we appreciate every comment.  Based on some of the feedback below, we’ll be moving our Trial Rewards Program into Phase II.  I can’t say exactly what Phase II will look like (darn legal counsel), but here are a few of the comments that we will be addressing.

“I love the rewards soooo much!!!  I have some really valuable material from my Econ class last semester that I’ve posted.  I think materials from past semesters should be considered for rewards too.”

- Kelli, University of Michigan

“Sometimes my class materials don’t fit all the rules in the terms & conditions, but I swear they are super valuable to my current Calculus class.  If student’s are viewing my notes, isn’t that worth something?  p.s. Thanks for helping me pay rent StudyBlue, I love you <3″

- Nicole, University of Tennessee – Knoxville

“You people must be tired of checking all those files, you should let the students report ‘bad content’ on the website. ”

- Jason, University of Minnesota – Twin Cities

“I’m glad I choose PayPal for my second cashout, I got my money in time for the weekend :-)

- Sam, University of Florida

So, you can expect some cool Rewards Program enhancements to follow shortly after our upcoming release.  Keep up the great work everyone, and don’t be afraid to send us your feedback – you may just find your opinion becomes a reality.

Till next week,

-Chris
