I just wanted to jump in quickly and let everyone know that the first week of the rewards program has been a great success. As many of you know, we are running a trial program for a select few of our schools where we are paying for content, referrals and usage. We have had excellent content uploaded for students to use to study smarter.

We do monitor some of the content that comes through for such things as:

- duplication (only put the same note up once)
- readability (all files must be typed–with the exception of hand written diagrams)
- no spamming (people will click your files if they need them, don’t be a pest)
- date (all files must be from Spring 2009 classes)
- size of files ( don’t separate a file just to earn more rewards, it is easy to spot)

We always encourage feedback from our users. Please let us know if there is a way to enhance our service or if you have run across some questionable content.

All in all, we have received some great content and you are providing each other with great resources to study more efficiently.

Thanks,

Ben

TheClassConnection.com is becoming StudyBlue.com!

The Class Connection was founded in 2006 at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, the company was the brainchild of a computer science student and a business student who together created a Web site that offered students an easier way to study for exams and prepare for a class. In less than two years we have representation from over 1000 different colleges and 350 high schools across the country. Today, we are proud to announce that the Class Connection is becoming StudyBlue.com.

Today, more and more students are going to the Web for educational support. In response to this ever-increasing population of tech-savvy students, academic networks like the Class Connection have become the go to marketplace. The Class Connection has revolutionized how students study online; be it sharing notes, using flashcards, creating study reminders, developing online study groups, or utilizing textbook outlines we have always been one step ahead of our competitors. Unlike some “note-sharing” websites, we have created a true academic network that allows students the opportunity to create, organize, share and learn from content you or one of your peers has created.

So, you may be asking yourself, why the change…great question. TheClassConnection.com has grown very rapidly, in fact, over the last several months our corporate structure has grown seven-fold. We are making a lot of changes right now and we believe that we need a name that clearly represents what our company is all about, study smarter, not harder. To go with the change and growth the site has seen, StudyBlue.com has adopted a fresh look. We recently made upgrades to the Web site and reworked our look. It’s much more efficient for our growing number of users. We wanted a simple URL that is as easy to use as our product.

We are really excited about the future of our site. If you are a current user, don’t worry. There aren’t any major changes, but certainly a new look and feel. StudyBlue.com is the future of education and we are happy to have you on board along the way. The site launches on November 6th, 2008. We look forward to your visit, wish you the best of luck the rest of the semester, and encourage your continued feedback. If you are looking for more study tools, more collaboration, and better results on November 6th, 2008 go to StudyBlue.com.
